Empowering Eternally Significant Lives

History of Trinity Vineyard Christian Fellowship

In 1998, plans began forming for a new Vineyard in the Tri-Cities area of the Fox Valley. Two churches would be co-sponsors - the Elgin Vineyard and Servant's Church in Batavia. Servant's Church decided to contribute all their resources to the effort and Trinity Vineyard began Sunday morning meetings in October, 1998, in the Batavia Middle School.

Several years later, Trinity Vineyard purchased a beautiful old church building in St. Charles and had a grand opening. Ministries developed and many fine people participated in them. There are presently four pastors: Dan Rak (Preaching and Vision Pastor), Matthew Hanlon (Pastoral Care and Community Life Pastor), Nate Post (Student Ministries Pastor), and Jeff Jenkins (Outreach and Assimilation Pastor). Many others are important in the life and mission of Trinity Vineyard.

We continue to do today what we've always done - worship God, preach the gospel, teach the Bible, pray for the sick, make disciples, and care for the poor and needy. We plan on staying at our present site - our aim is not to "be a big church" but rather to "be a church of big people".
